Corrections
Corrections are appended here with a date, the piece they correct, and their own permanent address. Nothing on this site is silently revised. If a figure moves, the old figure and the reason it moved stay visible, because a publication that quietly fixes itself is asking for the same trust it claims not to need.

An earlier draft of this reporting carried 218 resolutions, 215 unanimous, and $1.78 billion authorized. The coding pass returned 228, 223, and $871.25 million. The earlier figures are disavowed rather than replaced without comment.
The superseded figures are kept visible in the package’s own fact-check. A framing describing the
unanimity streak as a one-in-6.9-billion coin-flip outcome was also cut, on the ground that board
votes are not independent coin flips and the arithmetic implied a randomness the situation does not
have.
An early draft put the income ceiling for a qualifying individual at 50 percent of area median income at roughly $28,600. The published figure is $37,600.
The correction is recorded in the package’s own fact-check. The figure carries a source_id that the
verification script requires to resolve to an archived, hashed document, though no assertion in the
build re-derives it, which is why the claim it supports is graded Reported rather than Established.
What counts as a correction
A factual error in published work is corrected here with a dated entry, and the entry renders on the piece itself. A clarification is recorded the same way where the original was accurate but read as misleading. Both carry the same weight on the page.
Changes made to a piece before publication are not corrections, and the two entries above are recorded as such: they document figures that moved during reporting, kept visible because the drafts that carried them existed and because a reader checking the archive will find them.
Updates
A piece revised more than 24 hours after publication carries a visible updated date and the reason it changed. Below that threshold a change is a typo fix, not an update, and is not stamped. The revision history is shown rather than kept in the markup where only a developer would find it.
