What we are working on
A story here moves through seven stages, and it only moves when an evaluator who did not report it says the gate is met. This page shows how many pieces sit at each stage. It does not name them.

Why nothing here is named
Every named subject facing a serious allegation gets the substance of it before publication, and a 72-hour hold to respond. That is a binding commitment underEJ-1, not a courtesy.
Naming an investigation on a public page reaches its subjects before that process does. It hands them the reporting early, and it publishes an implication of wrongdoing against people who have not yet been asked to answer, which is the thing the standard exists to prevent.
One live thread involves subjects where the reporter's own exposure is a live consideration. On that one the silence is operational.
So the counts are published and the names are not. When a piece clears both gates it appears under investigations with its full archive, its claim grades, and its verification state — including when that state is a failure.
What happens to the ones that die
A hypothesis disconfirmed by its own disproof condition is recorded as refuted, with the date and the reason, and kept. A deleted failure is a lie of omission, so the dead ones stay in the ledger rather than quietly disappearing from it. A year-long investigation into a cluster of drownings was killed by its own disproof condition when the arithmetic turned against it, and the smaller, truer story underneath, that no audit of the rulings appears in the public record, is the one that survived.
Standing caveatThese counts are maintained by hand and will lag the working ledger. They are a description of the pipeline, not a live feed, and nothing on this page should be read as a commitment that any particular piece will ever run.
